Housing Options

(800) 364-6933 Birth mother hotline

We have established a program to assist the birth mothers in whatever way possible…during the pregnancy, as well as the delivery and days following the birth.

Housing Options

First of all, we want you to know that you do not have to relocate in order to work with us or place your baby for adoption. Many adoption facilities require that you relocate closer to them for convenience. Our goal is to do what’s best for you! If it is your choice to remain in your community, then we believe that the support from family and friends will help make your adoption decisions easier. If you feel that relocating to another area while you are pregnant and deliver is wise, then we have a housing program that can accommodate that need as well. The majority of our adoptions are working with women who prefer to remain in their community rather than relocating. However, there are circumstances when a woman may need to leave her immediate area to place her baby for adoption. We are here to help you either way!

We have several options available to you for housing. If you need housing in your area, then we often will help you find an apartment or temporary housing during the pregnancy. We have several corporate relationships with apartment complexes and/or hotel chains. As we meet with you face-to-face, we will determine which type of housing best suits your needs. The cost of this housing is free to the woman facing an unplanned pregnancy and placing her child for adoption.

We also have worked with women who have preferred to live in a Christian Maternity Home. This environment is available to women who prefer to be living with other women who are in the same place you are. This home is located in a family-oriented neighborhood with the opportunity to take advantage of daily counseling, Bible studies, and job and life skill training. The counselors who work with you will help you make an adoption plan that meets your needs. You can enjoy individual, group or peer counseling. This facility is only available to you while you are pregnant and a few weeks post delivery.

The third option we have available is host family housing. We have several homes that are available where women can stay and live in a “normal” family environment. The home is occupied by a family who offers to share their home with a woman in need. You will have your own bedroom and bath and have complete privacy.

We provide you with transportation to and from your doctor appointments and will be with you during labor and delivery. As you deliver and make your adoption plan, we can assist you with permanent housing.
